We are still on schedule for construction to begin in February 2011. We plan on advertising in early September of this year and it will take a few months for the contract and Board action to take place that is why the Feb. date. It could be very possible it might be March before we actually see work taking place.
The Construction Engineering Inspector (CEI) has been selected. They are the one who oversees the contractor and the one who will answer calls from the public regarding updates and issues once construction has commenced.
The Firms name is Wilbur Smith and Associates and they are familiar with Seminole county and SR 436. Once we get the final contact information from their contract we will forward to you.
Depending on the relocation of utilities schedule the construction duration will be about 2.5 years without any major issues.
